City Disputes New FEMA Flood Maps Placing Mallory Station Area Real Estate In Floodplain

The city is disputing new Federal Emergency Management Agency maps which now place dozens of homeowners off Mallory Station Road into a floodplain.  Last week the city’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a professional services agreement to look for revisions to the floodplain maps on the Dry Branch Drainage Basin.  The Williamson Herald reports:  "The city has already objected to FEMA’s new maps, which also have shown areas in Cadet Homes off Liberty Pike and Fourth Avenue South in downtown to now be in a floodplain."
